The children of St. Kilian’s Junior School enjoyed another fun-filled, Seachtain na Gaeilge. We thank Elaine Byrne who provided very enjoyable Irish dancing sessions for all classes from Junior Infants to Second Class. Of course, one of the highlights of the week was the siopa milseán where the children used their cúpla focail to buy sweets and all things nice. They had great fun ‘ag ithe’ afterwards. Well done to all those children and adults who dressed up in patriotic green on the last day of Seachtain na Gaeilge. They looked and sounded fantastic as they gathered together in the hall to sing Ireland’s Call. A special thanks to Ms. Magee’s first class and Ms. Egan’s junior infants who led the school with An Haka Gaelach. Thanks also to Ms Ronan’s class for leading with Dublin’s Fair City. Some fantastic visiting dancers, Rita, Triona and Denise entertained us all. There was plenty of laughter, clapping and cheering. A big thank you to them. Happy St Patrick’s Day.
